| Treadmaster, manufacturer of the famous Diamond Pattern decking, has enlisted the help of Netherlands distributor Bonito Boats, to help sell and install their new range of ‘Atlanteak’ teak effect decking.
The Treadmaster Marine range has been around for over 60 years, and as well as the Diamond Pattern decking, there is Smooth Pattern, and now the Atlanteak teak effect range.
Treadmaster Marine is sold worldwide but this is the first year Tiflex have been able to offer a custom deck kit service where the customer can send in templates, drawings or CAD designs of their deck, and get ready to install panels designed and cut to fit perfectly.
Bonito Boats has been marketing and selling Treadmaster Atlanteak since January 2009.
After initially using paper and cardboard to make patterns, they invested in a digital measuring machine which measures shapes accurately in 2D or 3D and than translates directly into their cad program, enabling Bonito to work on the pattern immediately, thus cutting time and costs considerably.
Bonito set up a system of lines and layers to prepare the patterns and work together with the technical department of Tiflex to have the Atlanteak manufactured to the right shape.
The Atlanteak system allows the creation of lines and patterns to suit each individual project and even have text added in without major cost involved.
As the whole project is worked out in a cad system, it is also easy to show the client exactly what it will look like before finalizing the production.
