New user Posts: 4 | Is it possible to ship Treadmaster diamond in lengths of 96 inches by 36 inches?

New user Posts: 4 | Thanks, Dave. Now this leads to my second question. My pattern pieces are 81 inches long - I am replicating the diamond plate that was molded onto the deck during manufacture. What special steps should I take when abutting two pieces together to insure a good seal and prevent any lifting on the edge of a sharp corner in the future?

Member Posts: 31 ![]() | This is unfortunately the difficult part! If you want to ensure a good neat and even bond between two sheets of Treadmaster Diamond pattern, the first point to take note of is that two sheets laid end to end may not exactly match diamond to diamond (as you will have seen the edge of a sheet will have part diamonds, and two sheets may not have an exact cut length). If this is a problem, it may be necessary to cut a short width of each sheet to ensure that you have an exact match. It would probably be best to cut the diamonds through the centre. When it comes to butting the two pieces together, it is the join area that is the potential problem area. You will need to apply a small amount of Treadmaster Marine Epoxy Adhesive to the sides of the joins and ensure that the two sheets are pressed together but not sufficient to lift the edges. You will probably get a small amount of adhesive squeezing out from the join area; if this happens the excess must be cleaned away immediately as it will be very difficiult to remove as it hardens. As the two sheets are being laid they should be rolled over with a light weight roller to ensure that the sheets are in full contact with the surface of the deck, particular attention should be taken to the join area. The edges of the sheets should if possible be lightly weighted down to ensure that they do not try to lift as the adhesive is hardening. Could I perhaps direct you towards the fitting video, this will give a good overview of laying the sheets. I hope that this helps, please let us know if you need any further help. New user Posts: 4 | Thanks, Dave. I reviewed the fitting video, but I don't recall an example of fitting two pieces together, however, I found watching the entire process very helpful. By the way, is there sound on that video? I played it at home and at work and didn't get any sound.

Member Posts: 31 ![]() | I'm glad you found the video useful, it is designed as a general guide rather than a joining guide; we are hoping to add additional videos in the future. The fitting video does not as yet have any sound, when we recorded the video, there was a lot of background noise, so we are hoping to add a voiceover commentary when we add additional videos.
