I have a steel boat and would like to apply treadmaster to my cockpit. Can I bond this directly to a good condition epoxy painted surface as I do not want to encourage any corrosion.

Provided the epoxy paint is in good condition, you can bond Treadmaster directly to it using Treadmaster Marine Epoxy adhesive.
You will need to make sure the paint is absolutely clean first - wash off any dirt, abrade lightly with a Scotchbrite pad, then wipe clean with methylated spirit or acetone. Then you're ready to bond the Treadmaster.
